Brian Gay In the PGA Championship
Brian Gay has qualified for this year's PGA Championship at Oakland Hills CC. The course is a 7,395 yard, Par 70 test that Ben Hogan immortalized at the 1951 U.S. Open with his quote: "I brought 'the monster' to its knees."
I've heard about The Monster all my golfing life, and I'm proud to say I'll be there with Brian Tuesday through Friday.
Wish us luck!

Awesome News
Yoda
That is such great news...I am happy for Brian and thrilled for you. I saw the preview show on CBS today ....they have made changes to the course that returns it to its "Monster" status. Brian is so deserving of the honor and to share that with him must give you goosebumps. Please pass my best wishes to Brian...will be rooting big time for him.
P.S. I hope you can take your camera with you and share the moment with us

Keep spreading the message Yoda and good luck to Brian.
Why do you say tuesday through Friday? I hope it just you expecting to go home then. I hope Brian will be there till Sunday (night!).
It'd be great to see Brian win his first major at 'The Monster'

I expect Brian to be at Oakland Hills on the weekend. As for me, I have an all day Academy at Cuscowilla on Saturday, so I'm driving straight there from the airport Friday night. Should get in about midnight!

Yoda, who did Brian play practice rounds with and what does he have in his bag at the moment?
I can wait till you get back to answer these questions!

Thanks for the photo, Asleep. Just off the course at Oakland. Hills and am sending this from my Blackberry, so I hope this gets through. I remember our time together. . . No doubt much work since then. Send me your current mailing address, and I'll send you a special 'something' from the PGA 2008. Thanks for all your support from the early days. I won't forget.
:salute:
