Over in the UK we are much more traditional about spikes so only a few courses actually have rules stating that soft spikes should be used (including, sadly, the Old Course). I use steel spikes in my footjoys and do like them but this year bought some addidas shoes for the first time with the traxion sole - they are awesome grippers of the turf!

Oliver Wilson recently sported a pair of these on the golf course and I notice Jeev Milkha Singh's caddy wearing them too.

I've seen some people wear them in the gym and they swear by them. They look a bit too funky for the golf course I reckon though!
