I tried to do a search on this topic but had no luck.

As with many of you it is still cold and white here but I am trying to "groove my new swing" in the living room, with an occasional trip out side for a few full swings.

Somewhere in my readings, either in forums or the yellow book, I saw something about the right elbow returning to the original plane. Yesterday as I was making some practice swings I focused on bringing my right elbow back down to a position near my the front of my right hip then tracing the delivery path back to an imaginary ball.
It felt good, but without the visual aid of ball flight I was guessing.

1) Is this an appropriate mechanical move?
2) If so is it appropriate for hitters and swingers?
