I'm no professional (we have plenty here on the forum) but I would venture to say that "yanks" to the left would indicate the path of your golf club is to the left.
Perhaps try to focus on your club path moving "down, out, and forward".
And keep hanging around the forum and read your book - you
DO have the book don't you?
