I've been working on this a lot recently.One feel that may help is when you start back,as the left wrist flattens you will feel the pressure on pp#3.Your wedges are now set .Maintain the same right wrist bend all the way to the top -your left wrist can only cock.I would NOT recommend doing this anywhere near a ball at first.The dowel drill will help enormously also.
