BG's in with 68 (-3) and is T-36. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he was lifting crystal Sunday.

Unfortunately, Brian will not be in this year's British Open. He attempted the U.S. qualifier (for the PGA TOUR pros) but didn't make it.

Deere Run
BG fired a second round 67 (-4) in Round 2, putting him at 135 (-7) and T-27 at the halfway mark. The round featured four birdies and no bogies. A nice card!
Meanwhile, his Driving Distance stats for the two days have been and 306.5 yards and 295.0 yards, ranking him 57th (of 144). Two bad he's such a "short" hitter!

Awww Bummer!! Hey ho, just make sure he is back in the field for 2013 as that is at Muirfield
At least they are still playing at the John Deere Classic. The Barclays Scottish Open is reduced to 54 holes due to torrential rain at Castle Stuart (new venue for this year in Inverness and its a links course)

Deere Tracks
BG shot a useful 69 Saturday and, on Sunday, a brilliant 66 (-5)!
He finished at 270 (-14 / T-9) and earned $121,000.
Here's the final leaderboard:
http://www.pgatour.com/r/leaderboard/
And, a mid-year stats update:
Driving Accuracy #2 73.79%
Scrambling #2 66.19%
Sand Saves #2 65.52%
Putting Inside 5 Feet #1 98.56%
Scoring Average (Actual) #13 70.10
Lowest Round #2 62
For the year, Brian's made 15 of 18 cuts and earned $1,120,566. Still needs a "W", but otherwise . . . stellar stuff.
