I know this is not a popular topic, but the screen is too wide. It really should be lopped off in width by about 1 inch or so (non-technical) stuff. Best reference I can give you is either MSN.COM or YAHOO.COM.
By having the window at it's current width, those who set up for multiple windows or smaller screens find themselves scrolling. MSN and Yahoo addressed this issue very well.
You could ask what's the big deal about scrolling, well it is extra key strokes/hand movements.
A Smaller screen width would be more user friendly.
While I check into this issue with Martee, I would like to find out if anyone else is seeing this?
I've coded the pages so they should dynamically shrink when you shrink your browser width. I've tested this successfully on several different monitor sizes and it seems to be working.
By the way - I'm talking about the website, not the forum.
hi,
as i'm sure y'all know what fits where will depend both on screen size and the resolution the screen is/can be set to...both website and forum width dynamically reduce fine for me to fit on on a 15" laptop screen at 1024X768 resolution, but only the forum at 800X600...same for my 17" second monitor...width has not been an issue for me as i normally have the resolution set higher than 1024X768...hope this helps!

ps-love the site so far, colors fine with me, content even more so!
Both the forum and the website look fine on my computer. No horizontal scroll bars for either one.
I have seen this problem at times on other sites/forums, and it seems change from one day to the next. I've never understood why it happens some days and not on other days.
No, but it isn't the sites fault. Long urls like the ones from GD Howell III links can't be broken and will run the page long. Also big pictures will do the same. I remember a member on another forum that ran a long skinny banner at the bottom of his posts and always draw contempt from his peers becuase it screwed the size up.

Good tip, Mike. I've gone back and edited my url links. I'll try to remember to keep them short in the future.
