Glove or no glove?
 

I have never worn a glove because I had always felt I had better feel without one, also when I have tried one I always forget to take it off around the green and it just bothers me, also one less thing to buy. If hogan didn't use one that's good enough for me. With the new grips though it seems they use less oil and sometimes I feel the club slip, not like the old tour velvets which made your hands black. How many people play with a glove, without? also lately I have been wearing skateboard shoes and I feel they give me a flat platform to swing on but obviously no spikes I haven't found it to really affect my game at all, how many play in sneakers?

Hi Whip. I have been using a glove for years, but usually find myself practicing without one so I can get better feel, like you state. How stupid of me? So, this year I'm going to try going cold turkey and not use a glove. As for shoes, I have some trail shoes that are like athletic shoes with a sole with a better grip. I wear those at our high school team practices most of the time since they are waterproof and really comfortable.

I use a glove but at times I practice without and did not notice much difference.

I haven't used a glove the last 20 years.

Didn't wear any glove for 20 years, now I wear two gloves ( 1 left & 1 right):eyes: I have thin, dry, callused hands. The improved tactile sense gives a more unified/ welded feeling, I find it easier to moderate grip pressure.

At first I hated it but the cold weather forced my hand, became accustomed and finally prefer gloves year round.

Bumpy

I'm from a place originally that rains 10 months out of the year, too familiar with the winter weather double gloves. never could get used to them, one day it was surprisingly nice but ended up raining on the last hole, with no glove I took swing with the driver and slung the club about fifty feet into the air flying into the adjacent street! Luckily it happened to be at a moment when no cars were driving by, unusual as It is a very busy street normally. The driver was somehow fine with only a small scratch.

Tennis Shoes
 

Tennis shoes work fine for me - as long as it's not wet. I've also played in skate shoes however kikkor golf shoes are more comfortable than skate shoes and have rubber embedded spikes - very comfortable golf shoe - I highly recommend them. Whatever your tennis shoe size - add a 1/2 size to that.

I was checking those out the other day, they look like skate shoes which I like and have a few spikes maybe that will be my next golf purchase. I don't like the ecci streets because they aren't flat enough I feel like a golf shoe should be wide heavy and flat for a good platform.

I don't let a glove come between me and my love for compression.

Rainy days were a problem. Well until I went to Scotland and finally adapted to the rain glove .. by necessity . Scottish weather is so sketchy.
